What we offer: LOW VISION EVALUATIONS Are delivered through a collaboration between an individual's own eye care professional and Low Vision Specialists at local hospitals. AIDS AND DEVICES Including magnifiers, lights and aids, which help with the activities of daily living. REQUIREMENTS The requirements for services are a VISIT to an eye care professional within the last 30 days, and a PRESCRIPTION for a low vision evaluation from the eye care professional. SUPPORT GROUPS In addition to services, aids and devices provided at the Low Vision Centers, the Lions Club also sponsors and organizes regional support group meetings. These meetings provide an opportunity for those coping with the effects of impaired vision to socialize and to participate in educational programs dealing with a wide range of subjects from practical to popular.
